Fire Safety Work

The execution description for the entire building (i.e., the three basements, the ground floor, the technical floor, and the fourteen repeated floors) is subject to the Bureau De Control approval. Moreover,

• The building is fully compliant with safety protection French code as applicable under the construction Lebanese newly implemented code.
• The generator room, the fuel tank room, electrical room, passages, and stairs case are considered as a high hazard risk and hence shall have an envelope of 2 hours fire resistance rating, fire detectors, and fire extinguishers in the basement floors in compliance with construction laws, and stair walls are fire resistant.
• A discontinuity shall be done at the GF level through two fire rated doors and a fire rated wall, separating the volume of the staircase coming from the underground structure from the volume of the staircase coming from the upper structure.
• The car park shall be mechanically smoke exhausted with a flow of 900 m3/hour per vehicle for the extraction of smoke, through fire rated shafts and fans, and a shaft shall be provided for the extraction of smoke in the lobby in front of the elevators in the upper structure.
• Installation of fire exhauster pipe on each floor all the way to the ground floor.
